Welcome to a one of a kind, very rare, 1926 AC Royal 12hp. Preserved and stabilised in the cars original/ historical state.
The car was a local barn find in North Wales and is also 1 of approximately 40 AC cars left in the world. When we found this car, it was new to the AC Owners club register but most definitely acknowledged!
We tried to keep as much of the original character and history as possible, whilst still being useable. It was a fine balance of doing to much or to little. Having said that, the engine has been completely overhauled and rebuilt to the highest possible standard. The car runs smoother than ever and has excellent oil pressure and strong torque plus it's very capable of cruising around at 35-40mph.
The list of work carried out to the engine is extensive and far too much to list here, however I am more than happy to discuss the upgrades with a potential buyer. I have covered around 1000 miles since the rebuild was complete in 2018.
Some non-period safety related upgrades have been made to the car including:
Laminated windscreen Laminated period textured glass for the head lights Truck grade brake linings from nutexa frictions Period accurate and waterproof 2 core wiring (should you get caught in the rain) Battery relocation into the boot/ dikey seat area Modern tires Lifeboat grade marine ply flooring sourced from Robins of Bristol Hidden in line fussed starter cable Comes with the original logbook, continuous logbook from the 80s and all current paperwork. Originally registered in Chester.
