AC 2-Litre Sports Tourer by Buckland - 1949 We at RACAR are extremely proud to present this particularly special piece of automotive history. The AC 2-Litre is a two and four door saloon car produced by AC of Thames Ditton between 1947 and1956. In 1949, Buckland Bodyworks built an open top variant of their own of the 2-Litre Sports Tourer. Approximately 70 units were manufactured. The car here on offer, is chassis number EL1127 - UK registration KUR 363) which is actually the very first Sports Tourer with coachwork by Buckland. This is also the same car that can be found on some brochures made by Buckland at the time. In other words, this is the prototype AC Sports Tourer "Buckland". Time was not kind to the car and it got considerably deteriorated. Fortunately, it was fully restored back to its former glory and is now ready to be enjoyed on the road. This is the chance to own the very car responsible for launching the lifelong passion for the AC car manufacturer, a genuine piece of British motoring history.
