We are beyond delighted to bring to market this unbelievable Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider. We have never seen one of these in this condition, it is a work of art!
Our vendor, an incredibly talented engineer and car restorer, brought this car into the UK from the dry state of Arizona, USA, in 2021 and set about creating this amazing Alfa we see before us. The car is LHD, as you would expect, but is UK registered with the DVLA and comes with all its import documentation and details of its export from America. The restoration was carried out to the highest possible standard.
The work he has carried out is beyond most restorations, as he has powder coated everything he could with B4 paint before reassembling, even down to the jack which is original. It was then zinc primed, which is the best there is he tells us. Then it all went back together and everything he could do was waxoyled. He informs us that the car was very good before he started and that all the panels are original and were not corroded, bar the sills that he re-manufactured himself to the exact standard of the factory. An interesting fact about these Alfa Romeos is that all the cars built were done by hand and that no two cars where quite the same as the panels were made whilst the build was going on. Then there is the interior, which again is as new and true to the factory original standard, even down to all the switches and dials which all work correctly as they should. The colour combination of white with a red interior is just stunning, and is believed to be the colours it was built in back in 1960. Whilst the cars body was getting the treatment, the engine and gearbox were also getting the same treatment along with all the running gear and suspension. In fact, the underside of the car is equally as nice as the top side and needs to be seen to be appreciated. Again, we struggle to remember seeing a car as clean and tidy as this!
The paperwork is equally as impressive, with the already mentioned US documents and paperwork, as well as some handwritten details showing work carried out in the US. However, the big invoices came when it got to the UK and started its restoration. There are bills that will make your eyes water, and plenty of them. They run into tens of thousands of pounds and this is just the parts. Thankfully, the vendor carried out the work himself which runs into countless man hours. We have to say, our vendor is a very talented man as you only have to look at the quality of this car to see that. The paperwork goes on with a lot of details from Alfa Romeo themselves, as well as an original workshop manual and instruction manual still inside the dealer supplied folder. The car sits on a new set of matching tyres and the vendor tells us that the car is completely true to factory specification.
In conclusion, this car is beyond stunning with perfect paint and interior, stunning chromework which is fitted correctly and an amazing attention to detail in every way with no corners cut in any way. It is only on the market due to a change in circumstances, otherwise it would never be sold and judging by the amount of money spent on it, why would you? This has been a complete dedication build and a car like this will never be, we think, on the market again. Please come and see the car at our purpose built facility in Cheshire and lose yourself in the beauty of this amazing piece of Italian art.
