Original owner’s manual and extensive hardcopy history file with every MOT cert, road tax disc and invoice since 1975.
* According to the Alfa Romeo Museum Archives this rare GT Junior was built on September 28th 1973 and invoiced by the factory on October 5th to the Alfa Romeo distributor in Cyprus. It was first sold new to a member of the RAF stationed there. Upon his return he brought the car with him and registered it to his Officers Mess at RAF Wattisham in February 1975.
* In July 1977 the GT Junior was purchased by its second owner in Suffolk. The first MOT on file is dated May 1979 when the odometer recorded only 33,179 miles. This car was clearly cherished because the May 1980 MOT cert recorded just 33,351 miles and the May 1981 MOT 34,139 miles. It seems that during 1981, the car was placed into the owner's garage, as the last tax disc that was issued to the car expired on May 31st 1982. The car then sat idle and untaxed for 12 years.
* In November 1994 the car was MOT'd again showing 34,205 miles. At around this time it is thought that the car received a minor re-paint.
* In 2014, after sitting idle for a total of 20 years in the owner’s garage, the car was taken to a garage in Norfolk for re-commissioning. Various works were undertaken such as cleaning out the fuel tank and lines, replacing the carburettor mounts, changing all fluids, freeing the brake callipers, and replacing the filters and spark plugs. The car was issued with a new MOT in July 2014 (its first for 20 years) with a recorded mileage of 34,214 miles.
* The car was entered into auction and purchased by James Wheeler of Black & White Garage in August 2015. The car then received further re-commissioning, tuning and cosmetic works totalling £3,204.46.
* The car featured on the front cover and main article of the May 2015 Classic & Sports Car magazine under its registration HGV365N.
* I purchased the car in March 2015 (only its fourth owner in over 40 years) and imported to Ireland, embarking on a comprehensive programme of improvements whilst striving to retain the originality of the car ~
Inertia seat belts; Retrosound classic radio; new brake cylinders; electrics; Alfaholics “Fast Road Suspension Rebuild Package – stage-1”; Vredestein Classic Sprint tyres; full heater and ventilation rebuild; new battery; 123 Ignition; and tuning ~ totalling €5,590.
* I have completed three road trips across mainland Europe(2016), Wales(2017)and Ireland(2018) and an AROC track day(2018) totalling 3,300 miles without breakdown or incident!
* This is an increasingly rare, unrestored, un-molested and original right-hand-drive, 1600 GT Junior. Certified “numbers” from Automobilismo Storico Alfa Romeo and low mileage with a realistic price to sell.
