Vehicle history:

When the son of the manufacturer Paul Negretti saw this Alvis Speed Twenty Five at Hugh Anderson's Alvis dealership on the 9th of September in 1938 in London's Stratton Street, it wasn't long before he was able to persuade his father to buy the noble Drophead Coupé. Only 536 Alvis Speed Twenty Five were produced, a small part of them as Drophead Coupé and even fewer at Charlsworth, a London coachbuilder very well-known at the time. The color chosen at the time and the units, engine and transmission are still the same today as they were in 1938! So it is matching numbers and colors.
When Mr. Paul Negretti died in 1953, the family sold this Alvis. In 1969 the new owner had an accident and parked the car in a workshop, where Idris Francis bought it in 1972, who owned it until 2009 and sold it to the current owner. Francis restored the Speed Twenty Five between 1972 and 1975 and drove it several miles. In 2005 it only made third place at a concours because its regular use had not left it without a trace. This vehicle has been in Germany since 2009. Its owner drove the Alvis regularly and enjoyed this beautiful vehicle. Since 2010, investments have been made in technology again. In 2020 the engine was opened again and resealed.
