Alvis TA 14 DHC (1949)

This post-War Alvis Tourer has the beautiful colour combination of bodywork in off-white with a contrasting black hood and soft red leather. It seems to have covered only 37,000 miles in 70 years and drives like dream. It is ready to take away and enjoy.

This Alvis (VIN 22681 with matching 1892cc Engine) was made in 1948, fitted with a body by Carbodies and reputedly displayed on their stand at the London Motor Show. It was first registered in Norfolk on 19th January 1949 and remained in Norfolk until recently. It has only had 4 owners and comes with a large history file showing the refurbishment and extensive servicing and maintenance going back to the 1960’s. It is not concours (but could easily be made such) and is comfortable with nothing particular to be done. It provides a wonderful experience of open-top motoring in the late 1940’s and is priced to sell quickly so that the next owner can enjoy it over the rest of the Summer and take it to the odd show.
