YEAR: 1963 COACHWORK: PARK WARD ENGINE: 2993 cc PRICE: PLEASE ENQUIRE The series 11 refined the very successful Series 1 introduced in 1958. The cosmetic differences were mainly to the front and rear lighting arrangements but also provided disc brakes all round. This car, originally in beige, left the works on 25/ 4/ 63 for Brooklands of Bond Street and then to first owner Leslie Champkins of Purley . The second (and current) owner purchased the car in 1989 and had significant work carried out to bodywork, re-trimming , repainting in British Racing Green, LED lighting , cylinder head and replacing headlining amongst other work. Some 286 Series 2 were produced with well over 200 surviving, testament to the quality of these cars. With its 2933cc straight six in-line engine and twin SU Carburettors this automatic car produces 115 bhp and is good for 105 mph.
