Seller's comments about 1962' Aston Martin DB4 Series Iv
1962 Aston Martin DB4 Series IV in Goodwood Green with black hide interior and fitted with leather edged, best quality Wilton carpet. This car was the subject of a complete restoration by us back in 2000 since when it has covered only 19, 000 miles. Various upgrades were specified during the restoration and these included the factory upgrade of increasing the engine capacity from 3800cc to 4200cc and running the fuel system through triple SU carburettors as used on the Vantage variations rather than the original twin carb set up. This has resulted in a noticeable increase in power right through the rev range giving the car improved Torque and greater acceleration. Attention was also paid to improved road holding and this was achieved through stronger road springs, slightly stiffer shock absorbers and a larger diameter anti-roll bar which combined give a much more positive feel than the standard set up. Engine cooling is via a Kenlowe Electric fan and a high capacity oil cooler has also been fitted. The car sits on 72 spoke chrome wire wheels with 3 eared Borrani spinners and a perfect set of Avon Turbospeed tyres, ideal for this car. Despite being 20 years since this restoration was completed, the car has been very well kept in the intervening period and today remains in excellent condition. Realistically priced at £395, 000
