Oyster Cars are delighted to offer this very rare and stunning 1973 Audi Coupe S. Believed to be one of only about ten registered in the UK, this example is in amazing all round condition and is guaranteed to turn heads both on the road and even amongst other more expensive cars at any classic show. Finished in Turquoise Metallic with a complementary green velour interior, this 1973 Audi 100 Coupe S looks as good as it drives. The bodywork and paintwork are to a very high standard with just a few small chips to the front of the bonnet. The underside was recently stripped back to bare metal and repainted with the factory colour over an anti rust primer. Please see the photos on our website to see for yourself how smart the car is underneath. All the chromework too is in very good condition. The same quality of finish continues inside where the very 1970’s green velour upholstery is in remarkable condition as is the headlining, carpets and fascia trim. The only blemish is a small crack in the dashtop plastic. The car is powered by Audi’s 1. 9 litre engine of the time with a four speed gearbox and front wheel drive. The car underwent a full inspection by reputable Bridge Classic cars earlier this year and consequently drives very well in all aspects. The driving position is very spacious and the whole driving experience very refined for a car that is now fifty years old. The paperwork for the car is as amazing as the car itself. It includes the original sales brochures, magazine articles from the 1970’s, the original sales letter and invoice including the additional £19. 50 for optional seat belts! The car has only had three former keepers and the first keeper kept the car for 33 years. There are also all the original manuals including a lovely leather folder with a fully stamped service book up to 1977. These are extremely rare cars, which given the ever popular growth of more modern classic Audis are becoming more prized. To find one available for sale in this condition is even rarer.
