Seller's comments about 1964' Austin 1100 Mk1 1100
Hello, and thank you for viewing. This is a 1964 Austin 1100 MK1 . When I got hold of it , it had been sat outside for over 7 years and the weather had taken its toll. It is now perfectly solid and while a full respray would not go amiss it drives and handles great . It can be used as it is , or taken a few steps further in a restoration. The hard work is done and the car can be enjoyed from day 1. It is a great little fun car that reminds me of the one in the TV series Faulty Towers ( That one was an estate version ). Lots of new stuff has been fitted and there are a few spares and plenty of paperwork. Up to it coming off the road about 7 years or so ago it had attended several shows and its probably in good enough condition now to be shown again , although I would not expect to win any prizes. The price reflects what I have invested in this car and although its not necessarily all about the money I would like to get back most of what I have spent so I can start a new project next summer. The first time I listed this car I did not think an MOT would be an issue as this car is now MOT exempt . However from a buyers point of view it quickly became obvious that I should really have had this done before the listing. It actually sailed through the test with " no advisories ". It is now under covers ready for the winter but it would be a shame to leave it there . It really needs to be garaged now and only used in the summer . Will be happy to give as much information as you want and viewing is welcome / preferred. Also listed on ebay. Thank you
