Lot 2000 in the October 8-9th auction being held by Harper Field Auctioneers:1934 Austin Seven two seat tourer registration number JY 3732 (Plymouth, Devon), with V5c, purchased by the vendor's late father in 2012, sparingly used (the MOT history shows an increase in odometer reading from 807 in 2006 to a current reading of 3736 now displayed) . When brought to us it fired straight up and happily ticked over as we took photographs and drove around the carpark. It appears a well sorted car which is backed up by the receipts in the history folder which include four Blockley tyres in November 2012, £2, 400 spent at Austineers in 2014 including engine and brake work, a sheet dated March 2014 listing parts used including crank and rods, pistons, valves, studs, clutch levers etc, Exide battery in June 2020, radiator hex core dated June 2020 and most recently over £6, 000 spent with Retro Classic Engineering of Moreton Valance near Gloucester, this included a new fuel tank and a comprehensive engine rebuild over the course of around 18 months. Also in the history folder is an album of photographs including some older examples, three black and white and one showing the car being craned, possibly onto a ship. The car obviously has a hood but also the often missing sidescreens, also included are a picnic basket, tools, foot pump etc, ready to enjoy. Auction estimate: £3, 000-£5, 000
