In red with black wings and a black interior. Built on 26th February 1929, this superb 7 Tourer was exported to New Zealand and registered there on the last day of that year. It returned to the UK in 2014 when it was purchased by the last owner to compete in Vintage and Sports Car Club events. As the car is pre 1930, it is eligible for all events including the Chateau Impney hill climb and the Welsh Trial. The owner competed with at Silverstone, Brooklands and Bicester in the Modified class because it has a later carburettor fitted which makes the 7 much more drivable and only loses a 2% score bonus. The original carburettor comes with the car, and is an easy swap. It has matching engine and chassis numbers. The Chummy was completely restored in New Zealand and remains in fine order throughout. The bodywork, interior, and running gear are very nicely finished and the engine was rebuilt in 2015, less than five hundred miles ago. There is a full set of weather gear which fits properly. Usable, competitive and great fun, this Austin Tourer comes with a Heritage Certificate confirming that it is still fitted with its original engine, and a VSCC Eligibility Document for the last owner.
