The final series of the ‘Box’ Seven models, the RP was introduced in October 1932.
This series featured a rear mounted fuel tank and four speed gearbox, along with various additional revisions, ensuring the Austin Seven remained a bestseller, with the ‘RP’ remaining in production until July 1934, before being replaced by the redesigned ‘Ruby.’

This particular car was first registered in May 1934, later restored by VW Niblett & Son (probably in 1985 - date of re-registration).
Finished in Royal Blue over black with black interior trim, the car looks very much original. During its restoration, a number of areas were considerably upgraded to improve the usability of the car, most notably the Ruby engine conversion to a 2 bearing crankshaft for a stronger engine and a Big Seven rear axle with rod brakes for more stopping power.
Recently had new battery, front damper and radiator core fitted and has the oil changed regularly.

All in all a very usable car with a strong, reliable engine and running gear that attracts attention wherever she goes!

The Avon Sidecar Triple Duty tyres are in good condition but a full set of new Longstone 350x19 ‘Blockley’ style tyres with inner tubes are available for an additional £250 (originally bought for an A7 race car but never used).
