Seller's comments about 1968' Austin Cambridge Countryman
Reduced by €1,000 to clear as requires new tyres. Buy it now or I will blast and powder coat the wheels and fit 4 new radial tyres and the price will increse to the normal listed price. Readvertised due to time wasters, messers and 'photo collectors. I have been messed about by so many 'photo collectors with this car so please if genuinely interested please come and see it. Do not ask for 'photos as I will only send one or two more. This Irish registered car originated in England. I have the full history of the car. It appeared in an eposode of the ITV series "Heartbeat".It has not had a total rebuild but I gave it a major overhaul when I bought her in 2013 including some body repairs, respray, complete brake overhaul with new parts and silicone brake and clutch fluid. A reconditioned engine was fitted that has now only done 32,000 miles and a new clutch fitted at the same time. Also at that time an overdrive gearbox was fitted and many extras like spotlights, oil cooler, new carburetor, new starter motor, new alternator and new radiator fitted with everlasting waterless coolant. The underside is mainly original and solid but the small amount of welding done has been done correctly. I will be sorry to see "Elsie" go to a new owner but I am selling all my classic cars to finance a house project. I can arrange delivery, at extra cost, to anywhere on european mainland or England or back to Ireland. For sale for €6,500 or very close offer. This car can be viewed now in Portugal but will be back in Ireland soon so can also be viewed there.
This is a good all round car. It is not perfect as it has not had a full rebuild and requires some small jobs doing. However, it is solid, near rust free and reliable. She is a very rare car with only 82 to be known to be on the road world wide at present. Can be veiwed in Portugal or Ireland depending on the time of year.
