Capots Vintage, specialist in sports and collector cars in Lyon, is offering for sale a 1955 Austin-Healey 100 BN1:We are delighted to present this Austin Healey 100 for sale, and not just any one! It is a very rare version: the BN1 model with a four-cylinder engine, sporting the superb Healey Blue colour paired with elegant navy blue upholstery. Donald Healey named it the 'Hundred' in reference to its ability to reach 100 miles per hour, a notable achievement for the era, just behind the Jaguar XK120 but ahead of the MGs and Triumphs.Delivered new in July 1955 in Yokohama, Japan, as confirmed by its British Motor Heritage certificate, this Austin Healey has benefited from a full restoration carried out by a specialist. Everything is in exceptional condition: underpinnings, bodywork, mechanicals, running gear, upholstery… Each detail has been meticulously restored with taste.Furthermore, the car is matching numbers for the body and engine, and has been modernised with improvements such as a four-speed gearbox with overdrive, electronic ignition, a high‑performance starter, and an alternator. It also comes with the full set of equipment: a hood, tonneau cover, and side screens (rare on these models). Finally, the car has just undergone a full service in our workshops.Photo and video dossier available on request.
