Seller's comments about 1958' Austin-Healey 100-6

Retirement from competition provokes reluctant sale of this superb championship winning AH.
Campaigned extensively over a 25 year period by a gentleman driver this particular car is a very well known sight and sound throughout the Healey fraternity, both in the u. k, France and Jersey.
Consistently maintained regardless of cost the car presents itself in a wonderful livery of Colorado red with jaguar dark racing green coves.
Over a period over time the car has been subject to continuous development with the engine now producing a little over 240hp, engine specs include a steel billet crankshaft and connecting rods, cosworth pistons, DWR alloy cylinder head with roller rockers, lighweight valve train and vernier cam gear, triple weber 45 dcoe carburettorsDWR 3 steel billet camshaft etc...
The gearbox is a straight cut tulip ratio unit with competition overdrive which feeds the power through a 4. 3 LSD and heavy duty half shafts.
Bodied entirely in alloy with the exception of the passenger door in order to aid weight distribution along with a set of DWR magnesium wheels the car tips the scales at approximately 950kg.
All safety equipment such as roll cage, fire extinguisher and race harness are certificated and in date to 2024.
There is also a lightweight hardtop (2 seat) and a spares package which will accompany the car such as spare differentials, 3 gallon race fuel tank etc.
A wonderful and very competitive Healey that is ready to be further campaigned in the current series or to be used as a very fast road car etc
