Seller's comments about 1959' Austin-Healey 3000

The Austin-Healey 3000 was announced on 1 July 1959 with a 3-litre BMC C-Series engine to replace the smaller 2.6-litre engine of the 100-6 and disc brakes for its front wheels.
In total 13,650 Mark 1s were built however only 2,825 were BN7 open two-seaters making them infinitely rarer and more valuable than the 2+2.
Chassis number H-BN7-L/584 Left the Austin Healey factory at Longbridge for its long journey to Fort Worth Texas, USA on the 4th May 1959 making it a very early example indeed.
She was finished in Healey Blue with Blue trim and a blue hood, sporting Factory fitted equipment including wire wheels, heater, adjustable steering column, road speed tyres, laminated windscreen, MPH speedometer and overdrive.
After 58 years in the dry and sunny climates of Texas followed by New Mexico, California. This “Big Healey” was recently repatriated back to the UK and has lots of bills and receipts included in the history, Most recent expenditure includes a full service and carb rebuild.
Brand new blue hood and side screens, original exhaust and bumpers also included.
