Seller's comments about 1924' Austin Heavy 12/4 Clifton Tourer
A beautifully restored and well maintained example or this popular tourer.
All original matching numbers complete with RF 60 registration book and full history file.
Current owner purchased in 2015 and used regularly for local shows and outings, it has only travelled about 3100 miles since rebuild by a previous owner. It has won many trophies for best in class at shows. Five new tyres recently fitted costing £1200. New water pump fitted.
Engine 1661cc.
Auster screen.
Hood, upholstery, carpets all previously renewed to original spec and still in very good condition.
Rebuilt to what is considered concours condition including bare metal respray in original colours, engine rebuilt & new pistons fitted, brightwork re-nickeled. Car rewired and battery isolator switch fitted. Clutch relined.
Replica folding rear carrier fitted.
Brake drums ground and new linings and new oil seals fitted.
This car has proved very reliable, starting easily, cruising at about 50mph.
Reason for sale, car is just not getting the use it deserves.

The car is located in Essex, we have many more photos and video showing engine running so you can check the car out from a distance if you are not local.
