I have made the difficult decision to sell my Maxi, I have absolutely loved owning this car, and I will be sad to see it go. It’s been my favourite classic! A definite ‘marmite car’ so much fun! Genuine reasons for sale being that we now have a family and so I bought a more modern family car. We also have nowhere to store the Maxi long term for future use as well as the other project cars so unfortunately, I am unable to keep this.
During my ownership, the following things have been changed:
Fuel pump was changed to an electronic one
Headlights have been upgraded
Brake master cylinder replaced
Clutch plate replaced and main seal
Stainless steel exhaust
Front wheel bearing replaced and additional wheel bearing to be included in sale as only one side was replaced.
Bodywork: During my ownership, it has always had slight surface rust, especially on the roof and the usual places – This did not bother me personally however, over the years this has got progressively worse and will need attention now to preserve it. I will try and get as many detailed pictures as possible but I recommend the buyer to view the car in person to see for themselves. The first/ cover photo was taken in July 2021 and all the other photos have been taken recently for the advert.
Interior: Brown vinyl. The seats themselves I would say are in average condition apart from a tear in the drivers seat. I will include a photo of the damage. The parcel shelf deteriorated due to sun damage since I have owned it as did the wood on the glove box the surrounding vinyl. Please see photos!
Mechanics:
Starts and runs although has not been used for a very long time so will need going over. Can send a whats app video of this running if required.
Believe it or not, I used this as my daily and I can honestly say it was very reliable. This car was used daily up until the end of July 2022 but has not been driven since other than to move it. IT IS BEING SOLD AS A PROJECT. Upon sale, the car is to be transported not driven. Buyer to arrange this. Collection only.
