Seller's comments about 1979' Austin Mini

Hi, we are Classic Mini specialists Paul Higgs Cars based in New Milton in Hampshire.
We specialise in all things Classic Mini and always have a large selection available at sensible prices. We pride ourselves on offering a friendly environment with objective advice with the occasional cup of tea! We have nearly years experience of working with these amazing cars and we always try and match the customer with there perfect Classic Mini. All of our Classic Minis are carefully selected and prepared with a service and MOT and thoroughly checked prior to you starting your Classic Mini adventure.
We are very pleased to offer what is an icon amongst Classic cars and particularly Minis, the highly sought after 1275 GT. Finished in the wonderfully seventies colour of Blaze orange with contrasting gold GT decals and enhanced with a period set of Revolution wheels with brand new Michelin ZXZ tyres. Genuine 1275 GT Minis can be challenging to find as many have been modified over the years but our example is a full matching numbers car and has its original engine, commission number, body tag, FE number and floor pan tag. It also only covered 56k in 46 years, this tallies up with previous MOT certificates and the service book. After a long spell in storage the GT is now ready for a new Mini adventure, fully worked through and absolutely gleaming.
On the road this GT will not disappoint, the 1275 engine pulls like a train through the gears and offers an exciting fun drive, the gearbox is also super smooth. It benefits from having many new parts and feels tight and direct. Being an unrestored example it also offers that period driving experience that so many of the restored examples have lost. You will certainly have a huge smile on your face as this is one Mini that delivers, not to mention the huge amount of admiration it receives wherever I have taken it.
This Mini has a beautifully presented original interior with the all important Stripey seats that are virtually unmarked, it also has the original roof liner and door cards. The all important 3 clock binnacle with 120 MPH speedo is present and correct and the correct leather bound steering wheel and that wonderful full length Rokee dashboard and period MW/ L/ W radio with cassette player.
As mentioned this is a very rare unrestored GT. It has recently had a full glass out respray after many years of storage and the results are fantastic, it really gleams and could easily be shown with a nicely detailed engine bay and spotless boot area. It also has all of its original floor pans and I can see very few areas that may of had previous repairs, it has clearly been well cared for and cherished and now is a rare find as owning one off these special Minis is an excellent experience and knowing it is genuine makes the experience even better.
This GT is fully serviced, checked and driven and has full MOT. It is also MOT and tax exempt.
