Seller's comments about 1966' Austin Princess

The Vanden Plas Princess 4-Litre R was a collaboration between Rolls-Royce and BMC (British Motor Corporation) and was a high spec luxury saloon boasting power steering, fully reclining Connolly leather seats, walnut veneer dash, picnic tables and other luxury appointments. The 6-cylinder 3909cc Rolls Royce motor produces 175bhp. The car has a Borg-Warner 3-speed automatic transmission with the gear-change located on the steering-column. The self-adjusting, power assisted braking system uses disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.  The brake circuit features an inertia pressure limiting device to reduce the risk of rear wheel lock-up.
We bought this car back in 2008 with the intention to do some touring around the South Island but that has never eventuated and more recently the car has had very little use – so it is time to pass it on to someone who will enjoy this luxury British car. The car has been regularly serviced and has a current WoF and Registration. The paintwork is original and so it is not pristine. The interior is in excellent condition but some small patches of varnish on parts of the window-sills has started lifting. The leather seats and door panels were all treated and recoloured in 2010 and are in excellent condition. This car is in original condition and drives very smoothly.
