Offered for sale is an extremely rare motorcar indeed, one of just seven Mulliner saloons known to exist, these coach-built cars were a step beyond Austins standard models, with a high quality of finish throughout, the Weymann patent bodywork with its ash frame and fabric covering allowed a lightweight and attractive body to be built, with attractive faux hood irons and unique circular scuttle vents, along with a rakish peak over the windscreen.
This matching numbers car retains its original features and has been beautifully restored to near concours condition, the ash frame having been rebuilt and the car restored from the chassis up, with all parts re-chromed or nickel plated. The interior is delightful, with a full re-trim in dark brown leather, including the door cards, new headlining and deep wilton carpets. Running exceedingly well, UL 7928 performs as it might have done when new, unusually it retains its original engine which we believe was rebuilt when the car was restored. Sitting on re-built and correct 19inch wheels with recent tyres, correct R47 headlamps and the addition of subtle indicators , this rare and attractive car is very much ready for its new owner, no doubt a perfect addition to a collection or for VSCC rallies or pub trips, and your unlikely to park next to another!
