The first car with the blue-white logo of the Munich brand looked like this. To enter the car market, BMW purchased the Fahrzeugfabrik Eisenach factory. Dixi was built there, a model that was a licensed version of the great British Austin 7. The tiny car was called Dixi 3/15, and these numbers corresponded to the tax class the car was in (3) and the power produced by the 4-cylinder, bottom-valve engine (15 KM). Production lasted in the years 1928–1932, the cars were offered in 2-door bodies with 2, 3 or 4 seats, open limousines (tourer) and closed, as convertibles (as presented), roadsters, delivery cars or as chassis with bodies. The Tourer was the most popular among them, and the presented convertible is 1 of 1,374 units produced and, interestingly, it has been in Poland since new.
