BMW 3200 CS "Bertone"-Italy's fine-tunnel meets Munich Kraftder BMW 3200 CS from 1961 was presented as a coupé study at the IAA Frankfurt and made from 1962 to 1965 in close cooperation with the Italian body maker Bertone. Chief designer Giovanni Michelotti gave the model his flowing silhouette with gently sloping fenders and an elegant wedge shape-just under 1,000 specimens were created in this extraordinary series. This copy of 1964 was admitted for the first time in Bavaria in 1964, came to us from long-term collector's ownership and was completely restored a few years ago. The body and technology present themselves in a coherent overall condition that authentically reflects the rare combination of German engineering and Italian design. In the interior, it receives blue leather on sitting and door panels, combined with the characteristic wooden steering wheel and the classic round instruments. The spacious coupé shape offers space for four people and exudes the elegant flair of the early 1960s. Under the hood, the cultivated 3.2-liter V8 engine works, which produces almost 160 hp and accelerates the 3200 CS in the direction of 200 km/h. Finely coordinated chassis, precise steering and the Sonore V8 sound image ensure an incomparable driving experience. A rare classic for demanding connoisseurs who value originality, rarity and timeless elegance.
