1938' BMW 327 /80
Perfectly maintained example with well documented history: Dispatched as RHD version from BMW Eisenach to AFN Ltd. London in July 1938. Changed to 327/80 specification by AFN before delivery to first owner and registration in January 1939 as KME 203.
First owner was W.R.Handley (a well known racing motor cyclist from Newcastle in the nineteen twenties and early nineteen thirties before he turned to car racing with MG and Riley cars). Since then all owners are documented.
1995-97 Complete restoration including all mechanical components (correct replacement engine and ZF gearbox), bodywork and trim under the guidance of Mark Garfitt, technical advisor to the BMW Historic Club UK.
Since 2009 German registration as historic car (H-Zulassung). After comprehensive mechanical rebuild by Feierabend GmbH, (Wuerzburg, Germany) only about 2500 miles.
Very original car except useful modifications (12V electrics, Bristol cylinder head). Good condition in any aspect (German Classic Data 2+). FIVA-passport.
