Seller's comments about 1964' Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Fleetwood
The car that we have on offer is one of the finest examples available of the 1964 Fleetwood Berlin model. Bought in Dallas, Texas, in 1989 with 43,000 original miles by the father of its current owner, it now has no more than 52,000 miles on the odometer. It has a metal gold paint job and a vinyl roof that looks new despite being a half-century old. The restored leather interior is in perfect condition. What is particularly impressive about this car is that seems to be fresh out of the factory. Everything works well: its 4 electric windows and deflectors, its radio, its air conditioning with temperature control, and the reclining bench seat. The engine runs without missing a beat, and it has been completely outfitted with a gas system so it can be used on a daily basis. These features make it easy and cheap to run. We were quite impressed with our road test where we could see through the feel of its running gear how this car, which has been driven very little, is still very well maintained and has preserved its class and greatness. Sold new at the price 5,200 dollars, our Cadillac could be compared to the French flagship, the 83-horsepower Citroën DS 19. Its competitors are the aging Rolls Royce Silver Cloud and the new Mercedes 600. This Cadillac clearly has is place right next to these icons of the 1960s where luxury and a carefree spirit were the defining terms.
