The Cadillac Series 62 is widely regarded as the best looking Cadillac, as well as one of the most enduring pre-war American automobile designs. This outstanding example is a stunning complete and solid Californian car fitted with a 346 cu. In (5. 7 litre) monobloc V8 engine and 4-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission that drives beautifully. Registered on 1st July 1941 and first owned by a Mr HL Farrah of Santa Cruz, California, the previous owner obtained the car via the California Auto Museum of Sacramento. The car has covered just over 2, 000 miles since arriving in the UK in October 2014. and comes with an up to date MOT and V5C as well as its Californian title, shipping documents and several manuals and hard to find guides. Since the car’s arrival in the UK, a considerable amount of refurbishment work has been undertaken including overhauling the engine and automatic transmission, installing new carpets, fitting windscreen washers, powder coating the wheels and fitting new whitewall tyres, renewing brake hoses, new battery and Petronix electronic ignition, rebuilding the starter motor and dynamo, and carrying out sundry electrical works. Details of these works are included in the comprehensive invoice file provided with the car. The car has been kept in a climate-controlled storage unit where regular maintenance is carried out including monthly start-ups and inspections. Further details and photos can be provided on request.
