Seller's comments about 1974' Caterham Seven
Lovely condition classic Caterham.
Factory built in 1974 as part of the transition from Lotus to Caterham. In that first year of Caterham production 20 cars were built, of those, this Chassis number 7.
This example was purchased by a new Zealand gentleman racer who spec'd it with a 2ltr alfa engine from new, the reason for this is not known, but he then raced it, in the late 70s and early 80s. I have some pictures and literature of it racing, in a huge history file, one is included above but there are many more.
It is taxed and Mot'd and in great working order with no known issues. It has cover 18,000 miles in it's life, all of which are fully documented. The car has featured in a couple of magazines and is a well known car.
