This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pick Up is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. 1955 was a pinnacle year in the world with the release of the first V8 one year earlier by Ford Chevy was under the gun. They responded by what many consider the most revolutionary thing to happen since the Model T. The revolutionary and now world renowned small block was introduced and in 55 and took the world by storm. Known as the Task-Force line released the new trucks were great looking and loaded with a host of options. This 55 has taken those great looks and options to a whole other level. This custom one off piece of craftsmanship is undoubtedly a leap forward from the original truck. After a complete tear down the truck was rebuilt using all new metal which was covered in beautiful inferno orange paint. Topped off with 4 coats of clear the only word that comes to mind is GLASS. With the body looking as good as they come the rest of the truck need to be addressed. The front end was modified using a 1976 Nova sub-frame and rear end giving the truck a totally different stance and driving feel. The 10-bolt rear end with 2.73 gears only compliments the cruising capabilities of this pick up. Just like the rest of this beauty the engine under the hood is much like the original only better. This small block is packing 350 CI which is the most common off all small blocks. Dressed out in chrome and topped off with a new Quick Fuel Carb this engine is show and go. Once you open the door and the custom interior catches your eye there is no looking back. Soft to the touch and visually stunning this interior was made to sit in and enjoy. The ostrich inserts break up the basic tan leather. With the dash and other accents painted to match the exterior this interior is the perfect match. These Task-Force line of trucks have been absolutely on fire the past couple years with their popularity having no end in sight.
