1955' Chevrolet Bel Air

This is 1955 Bel-Air Sport Coupe is a "Diamond in the Rough." It was manufactured in Van Nuys, CA #5518 off of the assembly line, it was purchased by the original owner from Clippinger's Chevrolet for $2,067.00. He owned and drove the Bel-Air for 22 years, during which he put 102,111 miles on the car, all while keeping it in great shape; which was not hard seeing how cars were made back then. My brother in-law purchased the Bel-Air in 1982, putting the Bel-Air back to its original form as it was purchased in 1955. The restoration took one year to complete, where it was then appraised by Bob Wing at Evin Classics in January 1983; it was graded as a 97% flawless restoration! After this, the car was driven for another 800 miles before the owner decided to take it off the road, where it was parked in a garage and covered until 2012. This is when I took ownership of this special vehicle. I have been a mechanic for 30 years, and have been familiar with this kind of car since I was 15 working in my first automotive shop.
