This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 is the real-deal Super Sport with shining paint, an upgraded suspension, four-on-the-floor, and plenty of big block power. And because there were thousands $$$$$ recently invested in this coupe, heres plenty of extra flair everywhere. We have plenty of build receipts for nearly $25k that show comprehensive work on this car was finished only a few months ago. So as you look over the whole package, youre going to see plenty of fresh pieces. The first one most people will notice is the paint. This maroon has a slick look in the sunlight that appears almost wet, and some may believe it is when they feel how smooth the finish is. All this luster also highlights how the panels line up nicely and that makes for a quality appearance. The VIN tells us this is a real-deal Super Sport, but this Chevelle does it in its own way. The grille is extra bright to go with the excellent bumpers and full-length trim. The racing stripes are specially done in gold to complement the marron. And while this has the correct-style SS mag wheels, you can also see the rear ones are extra wide to make sure you really see where the power meets the pavement. The full black interior is always inviting in a muscle car. Plus, the bucket seats and a center console in-between are always desirable in an SS coupe. Its upgraded to be a better driver with the Grant GT sports steering wheel, auxiliary readout trio, and a Hurst floor shifter. There is a retro-style AM/FM radio that goes with the sale. So you can have upgraded driving music when you roll down all the windows and cruise around in this pillarless hardtop. Then again, your real favorite soundtrack may just be what originates from under the hood. The dark and smooth inner walls of the engine bay funnel your attention to the tidy big block in the middle. This 396 cubic-inch V8 is the magic displacement for the 68 Chevelle...but not all are presented equal. Part of the restoration investment was about having a motor with the right upgrades. This includes an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, electronic ignition, an aluminum radiator, and long tube headers that add power while contributing to the rumble of the MagnaFlow dual exhaust. The Muncie four speed manual transmission was rebuilt during the restoration, and so it gives you firm control over this power package. Other upgrades include a CPP power steering box, a tubular A-arm front suspension, stronger rear arms, and thick sway bars front & rear. Stopping is even enhanced with power brakes with Wilwood front discs w/drilled & slotted rotors. The sale comes complete with restoration photos, maintenance records, and build receipts. Fast, powerful, and absolutely cool, the only question is will you be quick enough to grab this SS396 before someone else takes it home? Call today!!!
