Seller's comments about 1969' Chevrolet Chevelle
This 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS tribute convertible has a very cool full blue style thats attractive and distinctive (just look at the undercarriage photos!) But it also doesnt forget to be a proper Super Sport tribute thanks to an awesome big block under the hood. The result is the kind of cruiser that has the style and rumble to leave a lasting impression. The dual power dome hood, SS badging, wide exhaust tips, and imposing style make for a nice Super Sport tribute. But theres something even more distinct here. As you look through the full photo file, youre going to be impressed with how much blue you see. Its not just the body, but the pieces of the suspension, motor, and other details are all color-coordinated. The reason for this comprehensive build is because this has been under the same care for nearly a quarter-century, and so there was time to have a detailed style. So when you items like the way the spinners of the upgraded alloys match the body, you understand there was a lot of consideration in that little detail. The whole finish is clean, complete, and matured, so it makes for a good-looking car thats also easy to drive. Plus, the full story of this Chevys quality is seen in the bright chrome, clean glass, and good body lines are all part of what you get from long-term care. And we especially like the look of the full-length SS396 stripe. The white looks great against the bright blue, and it coordinates with the roof to create a subtle two-tone. Not only does the roof look good in place, but you also get a similar style when you power it down to reveal the parchment white upholstery. And the reason why this is so attractive is the color combo feels kismet. It reminds us of a nice summer day with big fluffy clouds. Its the kind of cheery afternoon thats ideal for driving a drop-top Chevelle. Plus, the full color package is one of the most thoughtfully intertwined setups weve seen in a while. The blue is used for details like the carpeting and seatbelts, and the white makes for a memorable upgraded steering wheel. The two wide rows of bench seating have the right cruiser style. And in fact, there are nice anytime-driving features like a retro-style AM/FM stereo and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it likely just needs a recharge to blow cold again.) Its also a proper driver with nice features like a tilt steering column, sporty round gauges, and a handy tach. Theres plenty more blue in the engine bay everywhere from the engine block to the smooth firewall. But where this color has been about being pleasant-looking before, now it just surrounds something very mean. This is a 454 cubic-inch big block, and it has been built for power. This includes aluminum heads, an Edelbrock intake, and topped with a Holley Street avenger four-barrel carburetor. Youll also spot good supporting components, like an MSD ignition, steel braided lines, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. And Hooker long tube headers let this V8 exhale with power into an X-pipe dual exhaust. As you look underneath, you see a clean style where the blue helps to highlight upgrades like the front disc brakes, upgrade string, boxed rear arms, thick sway bars, and Summit 12-bolt diff cover. Add in power steering, power brakes, and a stout but smooth TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, and you have a powerful all-around cruiser. Chevrolet only built 8,950 Chevelle Malibu drop-tops in 1969, making them a very rare commodity over a half-century later. So to find one so distinctly presented with a growling V8 under the hood is the kind of treat that doesnt come around very often. Dont miss out, call today!
