For sale is a breathtaking Chevrolet Corvette 489 Cabrio from 1965 - a classic super sports convertible with uncompromising high -performance. This vehicle has been extensively optimized and has an 8.0l MK IV Big Block V8 competitive engine with impressive 500 hp.
Technology & performance
The engine was equipped with high-quality components, including a forged steel crankshaft, forged pleuel & aluminum pistons, darts II light metal cylinder heads, as well as a noble brock Victor intake bridge and many other high-quality components. A grip in high-performance aluminum cooler with an electrical fan ensures optimal temperature control. The Hooker Super Competition manifolds and the specialization of the stainless steel exhaust system give the vehicle a unique, brutal sound.
The four-speed manual transmission with Lakewood safety gear and hydraulic coupling ensures precise power transmission. The reinforced racing axle with composite transverse spring, heavy duty steering and polyurethane storage offers outstanding handling. The rear axle with blocked Eaton differential, reinforced drive shafts and smart struts central recording ensures maximum traction.
Interior ventilated vette brake high-performance brake discs with four-piston brake tongs and stainless steel cylinders ensure optimal delay, supplemented by manual braking pressure regulating valve. The light metal rims with central closure are equipped with Cooper Cobra White Letter tires (245/60-15).
Optical & technical condition
The Corvette is visually and in the interior in an excellent state. The vehicle has a brand new black folding deck and the original Delco Wonderbar VK-MW radio.
