Seller's comments about 1941' Chevrolet Model AK

The 1941 Chevrolet AK series truck came with bold new Art Deco styling and production only continued through early 1942 when Chevrolet switched over to wartime production. It was not until 1945 that the Art Deco truck reappeared and it was not until 1946 when uncontrolled production resumed. During the war, Chevy trucks were only made available to essential industries.
This truck was produced in Janesville, WI and is finished in correct Brewster Green with a Kildare Green belt and an Emerald Green stripe. Its powered by a Thriftmaster 216 inline 6, producing 90 HP. These engines were engineered with 4 main bearings, mechanical lifters and a single downdraft carburetor.
The truck underwent a frame-off restoration in 2002 and has remained in a museum since 2004. In 2013, it received 2nd in Junior Class with the only deductions being, newer body bolts and some colored plastic end covers on the wiring. The truck remains in show quality condition and is one of the nicest examples we have offered to date.
