1949 CHEVROLET SEDAN VANIn 1949, Chevrolet's commercial "van-style" offerings were divided between two distinct body styles: the car-based Sedan Delivery and the truck-based Panel Truck. The 1949 Sedan Delivery was a light-duty commercial vehicle built on the Styleline passenger car chassis. It featured the front-end styling of a standard Sedan but replaced the rear passenger section with a panelled-in cargo area and a single rear side-opening 'barn door'. Most were powered by the 216 cubic inch 'Stovebolt' inline-six engine producing 90 horsepower, paired with a 3-speed manual transmission. This rare South African import right hand drive barn find is in complete but unrestored condition. The brightwork appears to be complete and the body and chassis in sturdy but weather-worn condition. There is no key, no V5 and no South African logbook. There is a nova import certificate. The vehicle will require UK registration unless exported – this is particularly ideal for the Australian market being right hand drive. VIN No A55K020116Please study the photos carefully which show the condition of the vehicle. Obviously, this vehicle will need to be trailered away.
