Two years later, the outwardly largely identical, technically simpler ID version was added. The stylistically and technically exceptional car was regarded as a sensation at its debut. In addition to the standalone body shape designed by Flaminio Bertoni, the hydropneumatic suspension was one of the highlights of the front‑wheel‑drive vehicle. Even before the DS saloon’s premiere, Flaminio Bertoni had considered a cabriolet version. Bertoni’s first sketches date back to 1954. This vehicle was professionally rebuilt into the current cabriolet form between 2015 and 2019. At the same time, everything mechanical and cosmetic was restored, so this goddess stands perfectly ready and drivable for relaxed outings. A very exclusive and exceptional vehicle.
