Seller's comments about 1977' Daimler Coupe
Jaguar/ Daimler 4.2 XJC Coupe for restoration.
I bought this car with no logbook but now it comes complete with a Daimler identity and paperwork. I had every intention of restoring the car but i have lost my storage.
I want to sell as a whole car, you buy it to repair or break it for parts.
You will not fix this in a weekend and it needs a lot of hard graft. Ideally you need to be a good body man or know someone who is, to restore the car. However, there is plenty of good metal there and the floors are still intact, although i was going to replace them anyway.
The rear seat base is there but needs a recover, the back is missing
The drivers sill are solid. The passenger sill and the rear passenger side trailing arm mounting will need replacing. Passenger side rear wheel arch also needs doing.
The bonnet and front wings are with it but need repairs to the usual areas. I have a replacement bonnet which i will be selling separately and also 2 brand new old stock Jaguar front wings, these will also be sold separately but will give the buyer of the car first refusal.
The door gaps are good and the engine and box were running a few years back. I have not tried turning the engine so assume a rebuild.
The keys have been lost but the steering lock has been removed without damage.
A £300 deposit secures the car but need it gone in 7 days as its in the way.
