Seller's comments about 1937' Daimler El24
Morris Leslie Vehicle Auctions are pleased to announce this lot will be offered for sale in our forth coming auction of classic vehicles on Saturday 19th August at our Perthshire auction centre, over 200 expected entries.
ESTIMATE - £12,000 - £15,000
Chassis number: 43846 - first registered on 1st June 1937 and displaying a Denbighshire Registration Number, the vendor and current owner of approximately 15 years, informs us this vehicle was subject to a body off restoration including chassis and running gear. We have been informed that this rebuild included a considerable engine overhaul at the same time. The pre war EL24 was built between 1937 and 1940 during which time approximately 710 examples were produced. The Daimler marque during this period was strongly in vogue and was favoured by Royalty and Politicians alike. The car has a good history folder including a photographic record of the restoration along with an original spare parts catalogue, maintenance manual and two early registration documents.
