1975 Daimler Sovereign 4. 2 Low mileage, low ownership Series 2’s which have not deviated from period specification are almost extinct, but this is one. Supplied new to a businessman in Oxfordshire, it was inherited by his nephew who sold it to us in 2013. Retained by Robert Hughes since, it was bare-metal repainted true to the original Regency Red colour, the engine removed for detailing and rebuilt on a time, precautionary basis. The Cinnamon Hide upholstery is original and close to perfect, the wood unblemished, and the carpets are like new. It has not lost the original smell inside. There is a good file of paperwork with the car from day 1, and the recorded mileage is just 18, 000. In 2018, the car was featured in Octane magazine and in Classic and Sportscar in 2024. Produced before the infamous BL quality cutbacks, and in an attractive coluj6r combination, this is one of the best survivors, irreplaceable, and will only be sold to the right low-usage home.
