Seller's comments about 1981' DeLorean Dmc 12

Made famous by back to the future? This Delorean DMC 12 is a November 1981 build, auto, and grey interior. It is a very nice, original Delorean, it was obtained from the original owner, and has 9500 miles on it. The car has 11 months mot, a clean title from the Untied States, and a clean carfax report that shows renewal of registration every year since 2007. The vehicles is registered on the NOVA system in the UK, I can help with registration if you are keeping the car here, and I can help with export if the you are moving the car overseas.

From the pictures you can see this Delorean is in amazing, unmolested, original condition. The A/C blows cold and runs on R134A, everything seems to work, although I can't seem to get the original radio to accept a cassette. The doors close nicely and the car feels tight on the road.

As time moves along, original, unmodified Deloreans are becoming much harder to find, and also, a more mainstream collectors car. This car has the original paint on the fascias, and even tape marks form the packing when the car was shipped to the states in 1981. These are not unsightly, you can see them if you know where to look. The car is currently on original Goodyear NCT tyres complete with an unused spare. If you were going to use the car on the road I would recommend replacing them, as they are 36 years old!

The only non-original items I can see are, 3 into1 exhaust manifolds, the originals come with the car, and a catalytic converter bypass pipe. I do not have the original cat, however, new old stock cats are available if you wanted to return the car to total originality.

The Delorean has an epoxy coated chassis (designed by lotus), a fiberglass underbody, and stainless steel panels. Curb weight is around 1250kg. The rear mounted 2.8 V6 is a PRV B28F unit with Bosch K jet Fuel injection. This is very similar to the engine in the Volvo 760 (B28E)

I am happy to answer any questions genuine buyers may have.
