1971 DODGE SUPER BEE

Serial number WM23N1G148035
Monster of power
Unique in France
Collector's grey card

The Dodge Super Bee was sold from 1968 to 1971.
The last year, the Super Bee was produced in only 5054 units and used the same platform as the new famous third generation Dodge charger.
More generally, 1971 was the last glorious year of the fantastic muscle car era that began in 1965 with the Pontiac GTO.
From 1972 onwards, the cars benefited from less and less powerful engines, the compression was reduced over the years under the pressure of the powerful insurance lobby and at the dawn of the 1973 oil crisis.
The car we are offering for sale was imported by an American soldier based in Holland. It was then owned by a northerner for about 17 years.
Then it was bought by a collector and true enthusiast to be completely restored "body off" during three years. More than €50,000 was invested.
The must was used to make the car perform, reliable and usable with all its original attributes. Only 766 examples were fitted with the 383 magnum 6.2 litre V8 (300 horsepower) and its mechanical four speed gearbox with the rare and desirable option of the Hurst lever and its terrible Pistol grip, the collector's must in the USA.
Only 82 vehicles have been listed on the Dodge Super Bee Register to date with this option.
In its original Butterscotch colour, this Muscle car benefits from an eight 3/4 limited slip axle with a short ratio of 3.91.
It is unique in this configuration in France. The engine has been replaced by the mythical 7.2l 440 CI "magnum" High performance V8. This is the largest engine offered by the Chrysler group.
This one is dated December 17, 1970, giving it another compression with an original power of 375 horsepower.
A mechanical preparation carried out by a US V8 specialist and famous Dragster competitors now gives it an estimated power of over 500 horsepower.
The car has never been raced and has covered only 2000 km since its restoration without any problem.
Here is the opportunity to add to your collection a real and superb Muscle-car!
