1928' Essex Super Six

The car was shipped new as a running chassis from Detroit to Dalgety & Co of Sydney Australia, their badge is still on the dash. The body was built in Australia by Smith and Waddington. The car's engine is from a slightly earlier model, probably changed during the car's early life. The car was imported into the UK in 1980.
The car has been completely restored, uses no oil or coolant. The interior has been reupholstered in burgundy leather. There is a Brexton trunk included on the rear luggage rack. The car has a folding hood and a complete set of four sidescreens. Now fitted with an electric fuel pump the car starts easily. All instruments work including the original fuel gauge.
The original fragile steering wheel boss has been replaced with a solid aluminium unit. All bulbs except headlamps are 6 volt LEDs. The sale will include some spare parts.
