Seller's comments about 1957' Facel Vega FV3 Coupé

Only 23 produced with manual gearbox - FV3B engine / 250 hp / 4. 9 litres - Beautiful colour combination - Restored to the highest standard "frame-off" - Extensively documented Description: The company Facel S. A. was founded as a division of Bronzavia, a French aviation company. The handcrafted vehicles with tasteful coachwork and every conceivable luxury sold like hot cakes. Politicians and actors, industrialists and racing drivers drove FACEL VEGA. Many French ministers and ambassadors, Ringo Starr of the Beatles, Ava Gardner or Stirling Moss, the Shah of Persia or King Hassan of Morocco all drove one or even several models of the brand. The Facel Vega presented here was delivered to Portugal in April 1957. In 2007, the car was rediscovered as part of a collection of 180 "barn finds". Under the direction of its previous owner, the vehicle was completely restored to the highest standard over a period of four years. The restoration process is documented in an extensive folder with photos and invoices. Already fitted with the more powerful FV3B engine, a five-speed manual gearbox and electric power steering, the Facel Vega is an exciting combination of elegant European style and American V8 power, making it a worthy successor to the legendary French Grandes Routières of the pre-war era. The beautiful dashboard is reminiscent of the cockpit of an aeroplane. Facel Véga: the great French Grand Tourisme and a French work of art on wheels! Engine: Chrysler P31 engine (called 'TY4' at Facel), approx. 250 hp, 4. 9 litres displacement - Only 23 manufactured with manual gearbox - FV3B engine / 250 hp / 4. 9 litres - Beautiful colour combination - "Frame-off" restored to the highest standard - Extensively documented Description: Facel S.
