EXTERIOR
The dazzling Giallo Fly paint looks marvelous against those iconic Pininfarina lines. Finished in its original colour, the fully refreshed exterior is to a good standard throughout, and looks particularly smart with the deep chin spoiler and contrasting black trim. The 308 also features an additional spoiler to the rear. All glass, lenses, and ancillary items present in extremely nice condition.

INTERIOR
The black leather interior appears in great original order. The condition of the upholstery is consistent with the car's genuine low mileage and has certainly worn well over the last 35 years, displaying only light signs of use. This is also true of the steering wheel, dash, and door panels, each of which present without any major scratches or scuffs. Furthermore all the switchgear remains intact and the dials still maintain a clear appearance. The carpets throughout are in unmarked order, including in the boot area where you will also find the original toolkit.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
As a GTBi the 308 is equipped with Ferrari's 2.9-litre V8 featuring Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. The resultant power is 214hp at 6,600rpm, which is handled by a 5-speed synchromesh gearbox. On test the car performs well, and while not the quickest production vehicle to leave Maranello, it still provides a thrilling drive with an enticing V8 soundtrack. The engine bay is in very clean order. Recent work includes a full service, cambelt change, and new clutch at 35,131 miles.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 308 sits on the classic lightweight five-spoke alloys that all present with a pristine finish. The yellow centre caps are also in perfect order. The wheels are shod in a matching set of Michelin TRX tyres, as fitted new in May 2012. The car has covered little over 300 miles since that time.

HISTORY FILE
The Ferrari was originally registered on 1st August 1981, and was supplied new by Lancaster Garages (Colchester) Ltd. The history file is complete with the original Ferrari document pack that includes both owner's manuals and the dealer-supplied service book.

The car was first serviced in 1981 and then again in 1984, although the exact mileages are unknown. It was subsequently serviced at the following intervals:
