1966 Ford Cortina GT // Lotus Cortina Homage // 1498cc
We fortunately came across this wonderful Cortina GT through an enthusiast and private seller who was forced a reluctant sale.
This Ford Cortina GT was originally supplied in 1966 and is fitted with the original engine and 4-speed manual gearbox.
It was restored some years ago and presents in superb order. All panels are clean and line up as they should and is extremely tidy and clean.
In the short space of time we?ve owned her, it has drawn much attention and indeed affection from onlookers. This one is no exception, sporting ?Recreation Lotus? livery it?s a real head turner.
The interior is fabulous too. Original seats front and rear, as well as original door cards that have all been retrimmed in period black PVC - along with a period style 3-spoke leather and chrome steering wheel. It looks fantastic inside and is a nice comfy place to be.
The driving experience is very good. Steering is precise and the ride is smooth with no nasty squeaks and rattles that old or restored vehicles can suffer with.
Supplied with large file of invoices for parts and works done, a big pile of MOT certificates, old V5C documents and two Cortina workshop manuals.
If you are on the hunt for your next classic for shows and rides out then do give this one a good look, it is not to be missed.
