Seller's comments about 1962' Ford Anglia
Finished in Imperial red, this Ford Anglia is a lovely and pretty original classic with a fantastic history. The original supplying dealer sticker can even still be seen on the dashboard!
This classic has been family owned from when purchased new, until April 2024 and has been lovingly known as 'George'.
It is registered as historic on its current V5 document and therefore benefits from tax and MOT exemption.
The Anglia was bought from 'George Taylor' of Chester in April 1962 and stayed within the same family for 62 years! The mileage is very low, at just 58, 510 miles, and it is said to be correct! We do have plenty of paper work to support the claim however please note that with all of our vehicles, due to age, we do not guarantee any mileages.
Within the paper work is the original purchase invoice from when supplied new, the original motor car insurance policy, manufacture warranty booklet and spare key.
In addition to these, there's an old-style owner's document with original owners' details and the details of his son. There's an old licencing receipt, lots of MOT certificates dating back to 1966, insurance certificates from the 1960's, some old tax discs dating back to 1960's, tax disc holder from the supplying dealer, lots of service and maintenance sheets from the supplying dealer from the 60's and 70's with payment receipts attached. There's an ESSO Lubrication Service Log Book with entries from May 1962 to 1969, owners' books, Castrol service sheet from 1973, Esso Lubrication Service wallet with entries from 1964 to 1972, plus lots of other additional bits of literature.
The Ford spent many years off of the road, from 1987 to 2024 and has been recently recommissioned. The works carried out by the last owner in the logbook include new battery, new brake and clutch master cylinders, new wheel cylinders all round, new brake flexi hoses, new rubber hoses, new clutch slave cylinder, new water pump, new radiator and heater hoses, new rocker gasket, new fuel pump, new ignition barrel, new grey door trim, rubber heater seal, pedal rubbers, an oil, filter and coolant change and new spark plugs. Invoices for parts are included within the paper work.
