1959 Ford Consul Deluxe – Immaculate // High-Level Restoration This is the finest Ford Consul Deluxe on the planet. Once in a blue moon, a beautiful car comes along that simply blows us all away. After seeing this show winning car in the flesh, we knew in a matter of seconds that it was right car for us. We had to own it and showcase it front and centre in our showroom. Photos and videos will never do this car justice. If you are interested, I highly recommend seeing this in person to appreciate its quality. Throughout its life it has been cherished and enjoyed in equal measure by just 3 owners. Following a family dispute in 1965, it was dry stored until 1989. In its genuine time warp condition, it become a hot favourite and won various classic car shows throughout the 90s. Supported by a MOT history and the history, we have full faith the mileage of 35, 479 miles is genuine. One owner, who had the car between 1989 and 1995, regretted selling it and then spent the next 25 years trying to buy it back. In 2020, he finally bought it once again and then financed an extensive and very detailed recommission. In addition to a major mechanical overhaul, this Consul had a complete high-end respray. The car was totally stripped to a bare shell and the paint was stripped back to bare metal. The previous owner confirms that all panels were in remarkable condition with zero welding needed and just the odd small ding to rectify. Finished in the original and gorgeous Kenilworth Blue, the paintwork is now faultless and has been completed to a top level. Likewise, the black roof has a stunning glass-like finish. Remarkably, we are led to believe the interior is totally original and has been maintained regularly. And, if you hadn’t already have guessed it, the underside is immaculate and one that you could eat your dinner off. Everything is gleaming and shining better than it did when it was new. It is clear, the previous owner had a fixation on quality rather than cost. Supplied with the car is a substantial file and we have some very interesting historical documentation going all the way back to 1959. Present in the folder is the original purchase receipt from when it was new. We have the original Buff logbook showing the first owners’ details and road tax stamps. As previously mentioned, we have many MOTs from 1990 to present. In addition, we have original Ford Consul literature, early invoices and a detailed historical letter documenting the ownerships and restorative work on the car. We are fully confident this Consul is genuinely the best one around. It is perfect for enthusiasts and collectors alike. It will win first place at the best classic car shows in the country and is even fit to be in a museum.
