Seller's comments about 1969' Ford Cortina Lotus Cortina
Unfinished 1969 Lotus Cortina series 2 ,verified through The lotus Cortina Register by a Mr R Nock ..Ex Thames valley Police and one previous lady owner other than me .So a rare low miles low owner car .Obviously not the normal patch work bodge retaining its full original floor ,Boot floor chassis rails jacking points front and rear ,inner sills ,Inner wing tops etc .Thousands of photographs available from the day it was found until now .
It has had nos front wings ,Nos full sills and a nos offside full quarter panel.Original panel can come with car .
Outer tubs were only replaced as the arches were starting to go .I also replaced the rear valance as it had a tow bar fitted .Apparently fitted to protect the lady owner from rear shunts .
Also replaced both Tool wells etc .The car retains its original stamped vin number on the strut top under the new paint .It still has its original front valance .So a real good car to start with .It is not finished .I am in this car way over £25k !!
It needs quite a few bits doing to finish and needs to go on a trailor .It is not running or drivable .All the hard dirty work is done .
Im not in any possition to get it running as i need cash to do that .And i find myself between jobs hense the sale .I have over £25k in this car as it sits .So please understand it will go nowhere for chancers ...
That also does not mean i am desperate or i am going to call up we rob every car to flog it on.I want an enthusiast to finish it to be honest.but if your interested and you have funds come and see me.If you do not have the funds do not contact me .Im not interested in any part exchanges .I have another car i want to finish ..
The price is negotiable .If you want it cheaper i will retain items from the car .so if you can only afford the shell you can buy that on its own.And you will be waiting around for me to remove parts before it leaves me ...its up to you.It will come with parts in boxes that still require cleaning up etc ..
Please note that the seats front and back are with the trimmer
They will be sold later so are not included in this sale! unless we reach an agreement on price for it all together !!
