Seller's comments about 1969' Ford Cortina Lotus Cortina Series 2
LKX 362H is an ex Thames valley Lotus Cortina Police car ,That was purchased from the police prior to my ownership ,used regularly then stored away some 30 years ago after the owner passed away . .
This is an unfinished project ,
The car has been verified by The Lotus Cortina register .Talk to them they charge you to verify these cars .
The car needs finishing . I have ran out of money and interest .All the hard expensive works been done. All the correct stuff is here .
It has been panelled up properly and never was a plated bodged up wreck like most cars you see from this period .It even has it's full original floors throughout ,Inner sills are original as are the jacking points inner wings chassis,Front valance etc .
Only nos ford or expressed panels where used where needed ..
It has a few parts missing .full exhaust Starter ,Alternator,battery tray, battery, brake pipes,petrol pipe , front screen ,carpet and a few clips nuts and bolts, chrome parts want renewing and a good respray etc ..
I am in to the car at easily £26k ,including buying the car verifying it Buying a recently refreshed complete motor ,Nos panels retrimmed seats ,Door seals window rubbers ,Head linings,Dash re chromed bits etc etc... Before contacting me you should Try to find an old rotten complete car for under £15k then add panels engine, Labour etc I guarantee you will not get anything at the price I want for the car as it is.
This is a rare car , two previous owners ,ex Thames valley police car etc .
Satisfy yourself that it needs a few quid spending on it,To make it one of the better mk2 series 2 lotus Cortinas around . Call the number and ask any serious questions ,
