1980 Ford Escort Harrier.
The Harrier was introduced in December 1979 as a celebration of an Escort winning the Lombard RAC Rally for the eighth successive year, as well as capturing the Team Prize and the Group 1 Category for standard production cars.
This very rare Limited Edition Ford Escort Harrier is believed to be one of only 26 cars left today.
This car is 1 of only 500 manufactured in Strato Silver.
This rare example of the legendry Harrier underwent a full nut and bolt restoration by its former owner approx. 3 years ago and was completed to the highest standard using new old stock Ford parts wherever possible, to keep close to period correct.
The engine is not the original but a reconditioned 1600 period correct engine that runs beautifully.
The interior has been retrimmed but again all original parts retained wherever possible.
The car was first registered in February 1980 and is now classed on the V5 as a Historical vehicle.
The car is MOT exempt but does have a current Mot until June 2024
The car has a complete Ford workshop manual and an original Ford sales brochure.
Overall the car is one of the finest examples of a period correct Escort mk2 Harrier and has not had the updates and modifications that many have had.
